The single most important factor in success of aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery is the surgeon you select. That is why you need to know about the training and experience of your aesthetic plastic surgeon.
Dr. Antell has been in plastic surgery practice since 1987 and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery - the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons. He received his undergraduate degree from Hobart College, Geneva, New York and his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. He served a residency in general surgery at Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford, California and plastic/reconstructive surgery residency at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY. He is a member of many regional and national medical societies including the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
A unique aspect to Dr. Antell's training is that he also has a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Case Western Reserve University. It is extremely rare today for a plastic surgeon to have the combination of both a Medical and Dental degree as each degree takes four years of training. However, many of the original founders of plastic surgery as a specialty did have this background to better help them analyze and reconstruct the face.
Dr. Antell has extensive experience in performing the types of aesthetic plastic surgery shown in this web site and is happy to answer all of your questions. If you should decide on surgery, you can be assured that our entire staff will provide you with the highest quality medical care. Our promise is that your needs will always be our most important concern.
Provided on site are the operating facilities of 850 Park Surgical, a certified operating room meeting the standards of the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities. Overnight stays can be arranged with or without private nursing care.
